If you have a channel program, I’m going to start off by offending you. When it comes to your partners you are being really dumb (sorry!).
You have systems of record for almost everything. Leads and opportunities in Salesforce, marketing campaigns in HubSpot, support tickets in Zendesk, [insert your favorite SaaS application here].
But what do you really know about your partners?
Sure, you’ve got their data in your PRM system - you can tell your gold reseller from your distributor - but is that enough?
When you start to look at all the variables that really constitute partner intelligence there are a LOT - profile, location, program, tier, product focus, authorizations, stage of relationship .. the list goes on.
Then let’s think about the specific employee at the partner - role, training authorizations, engagement level, individual interests, behavior, language, favorite football team (OK that one might not be quite so important)...
